IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
The WAMPO Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a short-range program that identifies transportation projects to be implemented in the WAMPO region. Each TIP covers four Federal Fiscal Years (FFYs), which start on October 1st and end on September 30th.
Call for Projects for the 2027-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is open (February 2-March 6, 2026)
Project sponsors (public agencies) are invited to download the application form below. Sponsors should complete one form for each TIP project they wish to add, remove, or modify, and return the completed form(s) to wampo@wampo.org by March 6, 2026.
If modifying a project already in the current FFY2025–FFY2028 TIP, sponsors may request from WAMPO staff a version of the form that is prefilled with the project’s current information.​

Current TIP
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is an ongoing program that identifies specific projects planned to be implemented on the transportation system in the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WAMPO) region over a four-year period. It also identifies which entities and funding sources are committed to paying for the projects.
The current TIP covers Federal Fiscal Years (FFYs) 2025-2028, spanning October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2028.​
