Budget Information

The Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WAMPO) is funded by a combination of federal funding and local member fees, which make up 80 percent and 20 percent of its total funding, respectively. WAMPO operates under a yearly fiscal budget and work program, the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), which is approved by the Transportation Policy Body (TPB). The UPWP supports regional objectives, local government priorities, and federal requirements associated with WAMPO’s responsibilities as an MPO.

Audit Report

The Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization receives a financial audit on an annual basis from an independent audit firm as required by Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.
