Boards & Committees

All meetings are open to the public and governed by the Kansas Open Meeting Act. WAMPO fully complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes and regulations in all programs and activities. 

Transportation Policy Body (TPB)

Develops and implements WAMPO's transportation plans and makes the final approval of these documents and any amendments.

Meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 3:00 PM

Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)

Reviews technical information about transportation studies and issues as well as provides the TPB with their professional recommendations on documents, plans, and activities.

Meets every 4th Monday of the month at 10:00 AM

Executive Committee (EC)

Provides strategic direction to staff on administrative service provision and other organizational, administrative matters.

Meets quarterly on the 1st Thursday of the month at 11:00 AM

Active Transportation Committee (ATC)

Reviews and comments on regional technical reports related to pedestrian/bicycle/trails infrastructure.

Meets quarterly on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 9:30 AM

Safety & Health Committee (SHC)

Reviews and comments on regional technical reports related to safety and health.

Meets quarterly on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 9:30 AM

Project Selection Committee (PSC)

Reviews requests for federal transportation-project funding that WAMPO is authorized to distribute and makes funding recommendations to the TAC and TPB.

Meets as needed

United Community Transit Coalition (UCTC)

UCTC is working to increase collaboration between the transportation systems in various jurisdictions within the Tri-County area

Meets quarterly on the 3rd Thursday at 2:00pm

Freight Committee (FC)

Reviews and comments on regional technical reports related to pedestrian/bicycle/trails infrastructure.
