Chất lượng không khí tại WAMPO

Just a few years ago the Wichita region was in danger of violating federal standards for ozone pollution, potentially causing us to be designated as a non-attainment area. However, since the early part of the decade ozone levels in the WAMPO region have declined from around 75 parts per billion (ppb) to around 65 ppb.

Even though the federal government made the standard stricter, lowering it from 75 ppb to 70 ppb, this decrease in ozone levels means that the region is in compliance with the standard. We are likely to remain in compliance unless emissions rise significantly or the federal standard is tightened again.
